Why Do I Need Professional Photography?

Anything printed starts with an image of some kind. Even a word is an image in the printing process. (And that includes your logo, so if possible please supply your logo in artwork form.) We work with high quality four color printing, and this means the image is EVEN MORE important.

Quality is one issue. Style is another. The same truck or piece of equipment can look small, big, sleek or awkward, depending on only one thing: THE PHOTO.

Experience is important too. A professional has done it before. No need to waste time reinventing the wheel, and in your business, time really is money.

Availability is another consideration. A professional is ready to do the job, with the right film, in the right light, and when you need it done (weather, as always, permitting). Your cousin Jack with his Canon might be in Mexico on vacation just when you need that postcard shot done.

What does it cost?

Rates for professional photographers are very similar in all parts of the country. The cost of equipment is a major determiner of what is charged, as is travel, film and film processing. You are welcome to compare our rates with any charged anywhere.

How long does it take to get my photography done?

Book now, and it will be soon! It's important to reserve a date so that we can plan for backup dates in case of bad weather. If you have a scheduled shoot and it rains, you'll come in ahead of anyone else who needs to have work done, and that's important.

After the shoot, it takes about 10 days to get your proofs to you, sometimes less.

Orders for enlargements suitable for framing can take as little as week or as long as three, depending on size and type of enlargement. Remember, professional labs are not like the 1-Hour processors, and large prints have to be packed specially for mailing.

Who owns the photos?

The negatives are owned by the photographer----always. If you want to use the shots for public relations, that's usually agreed to, but you must ask first. (For example, however, if one photo is used to promote a commercial product, a usage fee will be owed, and that can easily be arranged. Just have whoever wants to use your truck in their advertising contact us. But for your own use, you only have to ask!)

What are Earl Johnson's rates?

Full Day - $1,200
includes a full set of digital proofs

Half Day - $750
after 12 noon, includes digital proofs

Important time is spent scouting out locations. This is not charged for. But if a shoot goes over into a second day, a half day charge minimum will apply, and sometimes lodging & meals or travel. (Even if it's because of rain, sorry. We can't control that either and it costs to wait and/or postpone and reschedule others.)

So book your shot or session as soon as you know that your truck or building will be ready. You'll get your money's worth and more. We have a long list of clients who will tell you that. Many people have used one or two of our shots for years and years, and that one photo has brought them a lot of business. CALL 678-654-0755 and talk to Earl directly TODAY.
